Cenomi rebrand

Fawaz Alhokair Group retired the founder-family naming across the group and relaunched as Cenomi, a coined name from the Greek 'ceno' for new and 'mi' for me. Arabian Centres became Cenomi Centers and Alhokair Fashion Retail became Cenomi Retail, announced together with a Cenomi.com marketplace and the group's first loyalty programme.

The idea

The group relaunched as Cenomi, from Greek ceno for new plus mi for me, renaming its malls and fashion arms and announcing a Cenomi.com marketplace and its first loyalty scheme.

What to borrow

Replacing a founder-family name with one coined around the customer signals a shift from owner-led to shopper-led.
