Weyay

NBK launched Kuwait's first fully digital bank, built in twelve months with R/GA London, which created the name, the visual and verbal identity and the logo. Weyay means 'with me' in Arabic; the app is bilingual and aimed squarely at young Kuwaitis managing money for the first time.

The idea

NBK and R/GA London built Weyay, meaning 'with me', in twelve months: a fully digital bank with its own name, identity and logo, launching with quick onboarding and allowance transfers.

What to borrow

Giving a digital offer its own name and identity lets an established bank speak to the young without its parent's weight.
