Billboard Arabia and TikTok launched a weekly MENA music chart built from the number of TikTok videos made with each artist's songs, announced on stage at the TikTok Awards and updated every week as a discovery vehicle for Arab artists.

The first Billboard Arabia Music Awards, staged in Riyadh at the King Fahad Cultural Centre as part of the debut Riyadh Music Week, with 40-plus categories decided on streaming data and live performances from regional stars. Brand partners included Maybelline, Genesis, TikTok and American Express.
